(Received November 15, 4.30 p.m.) London, November 14.
A correspondent, who escaped from Brussels, and who has arrived in London, says that extraordinary interest is taken by civilians in Brussels in the Times' war news. Single copies of the paper have been sold for as much as £9.
A remarkable business is done in duplicated typewritten copies of the war news, especially of the portions of the news relating to operations in Belgium. These when sold are circulated by stealth and have brought as much as £2 each. Customers smuggle away the precious sheets, which they read with delight.
