FEARFUL DOUBLE TRAGEDY.
MAN AND MARRIED WOMAN.
FOUND DEAD TOGETHER.
HUSBAND'S SAD DISCOVERY.

Napiee, Friday. A shockixo tragedy, which occurred at Cliro this afternoon, was brought to light early this evening when the bodies of a married woman named Georgina Anthony, wife of Alfred Anthony, wool-classer, and a man. named Norman Richards, who was employed at the Pakipaki freezing works, were found lying on a bed in Anthony's house, each with the arteries of an arm severed at the elbow.
Mrs. Anthony was to have left by the express train this morning on a visit to her mother who lives at Castlecliff, Wanganui, and her husband bade her an affectionate goodbye at 7 a.m. before going to work. On returning home at six o'clock this evening he saw his wife's hat on the table. He looked through the house for her and found her body and that of Richards as stated.
A razor was lying on a table by the bedside. There were no signs of a struggle.
Both bodies were still warm when found.
The woman left a note but the contents will not be disclosed until the inquest, which will be opened to-morrow morning.
