The principal alteration made is the striking out of the clauses dealing f§| with the making and execution of wills'JH made by natives. A new clause which has been inserted provides that in faturo||f no wills made by natives shall have fiiqrj@|| force or effect, that the persons who shalLfj| be entitled to succeed to a deceased;|||| native's property shall be determined.by .v, native custom so far -as such custom ex- *£§ tends, and that where no native custom is applicable it shall be determined iiigi such manner as if the deceased were' *■•£! The penalty for supplying intoxicating Jfg| liquor to a native, except with the ap-y-S proval of a doctor, is fixed at £50 in the case of the European, and £5 -Jth&sg, the case of a native. 1 'Mi
Another amendment stipulates that no > Island Council shall have »power to estab-
lish Courts of Justice.
The Bill has been referred to the Native Affairs Committee for further revision.
