STEAMERS IX AUSTRALIA.
RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED. (Received August IG, 5.5 p.m.)
Sydney, August 15.
The Federal Government has refused to allow the" detained German steamers to proceed to their respective ports of destination. They must discharge where detained.
The Norddeutschcr-Lloyd steamer Lothringen, a vessel of 500-2 tons, has arrived from Bremen. She left Antwerp on June -20, and her captain states he was not aware that war had been declared. The steamer has been detained.
