An examination of the value at the bore hole shows that there is I still a strong pressure of water being i kept back at that point, and it has I bow lieen decided to open the valve 'and release tho water to ascertain whether ; that will have the effect of reducing tho i pressure. Otherwise there would probj ably bo a certain amount of danger in : resuming work in the face of the deviation crosscut. The main slide might burst through again at any timo if the pressure cannot bo reduced first.
