COMPLAINTS ABOUT ROADS.
Sir,—May 1 call the attention of the municipal authorities to the condition of the road at the junction of Eden Terrace and Mount, Eden Road. The mud for the la*st, few days has been literally over one's boots, and no attempt whatever has been made to keep any sort of a crossing. It is most unpleasant for the numerous business people who use these thoroughfares to be compelled to start their day's work with filthy boots. Dominion Road. Sir,—Permit me to call attention to the state of the western side of the Ponsonby Road, running from the reservoir to Richmond Raid. It !e absolutely impossible lor it to bo used by cyclists." Even in dry weather this side of Ponsonby Road is avoided by most of the motor and cycle traffic, for these using it are subjected to a series of severe jolts. Pedestrians crossing it suffer in that they get their boots covered with mud. Experience.
