FIRE AT HAMILTON.
[BY telegraph.—own CORRESPONDENT. ] Hamilton, Tuesday. Shortly before- three o'clock this morning a fire was discovered in a house off London Street. The Frankton and Hamilton fire brigades were soon on the spot, and the flames were extinguished, but not beforo the building had been practically gutted. A good deal of the furniture was removed, but most of tho personal effect* of the owner, Mr.' S. W. Body, were destroyed. The building was insured for £235. but the furniture was not covered. The outbreak apparently originated in a wash-house.
