WELLINGTON FIGURES.
[by TELKRWn.— ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. The, vital statistics in Wellington for the month of Juno are as follows, the figures for Juno last being given in parentheses: Births, 184 (157); deaths, 72 (56); marriages, 92 (89). For tho half-year ended to-day, the figures are:—Births, 1040 (1001); deaths, 418 (395); marriages, 546 (504). POSITION IN DUNEDIN. (by telegraph.—press association.] Dutjedin, Tuesday. For tho first six months of this year the number of births registered in Dun'edin was 905, an increase of 90 over the corresponding period of 1913. This is the largest number registered at the local office since 1882. For the same period tho number of deaths was 433, as compared with 478, and the number of marriages 372 as against 382. For the month ended to-day the figures are:—Births 151, as 'compared with 151 for June, 1913; deaths 93, as against 77; and marriages 70, as against 42.
