ENGLISH BUILDING CRISIS

gALLOT TO BE TAKEN. By Telegraph-Press Association— (Received June 24, 11.5 p.m.) London, June 24. The Building Employers' Federation is taking a ballot on the question of a national lock-out, owing to tho London strike. Trades union officials doubt whether the employers in the provinces will favour a national lockout. Mr. Hewitt, chairman of the central lock-out committee, argues that the federation is unable to induce the employers in the provinces to lock out the men for the sake of forcing on the London workmen what they do not force on their own employees.
