Crawsb'aw, manager ; of»the Bank of New Zealand, died this - morning after : a short illness lasting only a week-from- infectious 'spinal paralysis, commonly known as' "infantile paralysis.^' 1 He recently sat, for his final law examination in .Wellington, and returned.to Stratford a week ago. He was :supposed to be suffering 'from influenza 'when medical aid was obtained on Friday night, hut grew worse, and '* succumbed to .complete paralysis early this morning.
