EAST COAST RAILWAY.
WORK AT WAIHI END. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Waihi, Wednesday. Replying to recent telegrams from the Mayor (Mr. M. G. Power) and president of the Waihi. Chamber of Commerce (Mr. D. Donaldson) asking that the resumption of work on the East Coast Railway be undertaken at an early date, the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey) states that he has communicated with the Minister for Public Works on the subject, and is awaiting his reply. When* this is received the result will be immediately forwarded to Waihi.
