THE PRIME MINISTER.
VISITS NORTH NEXT MONTH.
The Prime Minister leaves Wellington this evening on an official visit to the provinces of Marlborough, Nelson, and Wetland. To-morrow Mr. Massey will visit Picton and Blenheim, and on Wednesday Seddon, Ward, Ren wick and Havelock. On the following day he will attend a picnic arranged in his honour by the Farmers' Union and the Sounds branch of the Reform League in Pelorus Sound. It is estimated that between two and three hundred motor launches will meet at the rendezvous.
Mr. Massey has telegraphed to Mr. Mander, M.P. for Marsden, stating that ho will visit the North early next month (telegraphs our Whangarei correspondent). The following programme has been arranged for the visit:— April 7: Turning the first sod of the link railway at Kioreroa. April 8: Opening the Otiria-Kaikohe section of railway. April 10: Visit to Waipu district.
