Wanganci, Thursday. The curator reported at a meeting of the Museum Trustees to-night that he had received information from an authoritative source that two pairs of huias had been eeen in the bush near Wanganui. Mr. Thompson, director of the Dominion Museum, and the Minister for Internal Affairs had heard of this, and had approached the local museum authorities, asking for information as to the locality, and offering assistance to secure the specimens. It was decided to reply stating that the information that the huias had been seen was meagre. Inquiries were being prosecuted, ind the Government, was to be asked as to its intention in regard to the matter.
