REGATTA COMMITTEE ANGRY.

DISPUTE WITH A.R.A. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Ngaritawahia, Thursday. At last night's meeting of the Ngaruawahia Regatta Association, it transpired that all the rowing clubs affiliated with the Auckland Rowing Association refused to enter for the rowing events until the Auckland Rowing Association had approved of the programme. A lengthy discussion followed, and urgent representations were made on both sides of the question. Ultimately, it was decided by a large majority to delete the whole of the rowing events from the regatta programme and to substitute extra Maori events, a mounted men's swim, and Highland dances. The decision is causing great interest here.
