PALMERSTON INCIDENT.
SUFFERERS RECOVERING.

Palmerston North, Tuesday. While attending th« Ramnai sale to-day several farmers, including Messrs. Sandilands, of Colyton, and Buchanan, of Kairanga, partook of some pickled pork. Shortly afterwards they were attacked with ptomaine poisoning.
Some of the sufferers were conveyed to the Palmerston Public Hospital, and others to private hospitals, where they were promptly attended to by medical men.
Mr. Sandilands and another were seriously ill, but their condition is improving. The others are also recovering.
