CHAMPIONSHIP TANGLE. THE CLAIM BY ALBANY. By Telegraph— Association— Stditet, January 5. Albany, the English rower, has submitted to tho New South Wales Rowing League his claim to race Barry for the world's championship, as against the claim of Paddon. Albany's grounds are that he was nrst in the field, and that Barry must by the rules row him for £200 a-side, or forfeit the title. Barry replies that he recognises the cnallenge of Paddon as coming first. If he rows Albany, the race must not bo for less than £300 a-side. Barry is quite prepared to meet Albany for this amount. ST, GEORGE'S CLUB. The St. George's Rowing Club will hold pair oar trials on Saturday next, January 10, for trophies presented by Mr. J. Prince. Following are the crews chosen:—C. Cozens (stroke), E.
