In the ' course - -a reply to bis critics, Professor Herbert Turner reaffirms his contention that sun spots are attributable to the bombardment of the sun's surface by meteors. INTERESTING SUGGESTION. ; The suggestion was made by Professor Turner; in a paper read before the Royal Astronomical Society, that the son-spots are doe to fragments struck off Saturn's rings by a falling star. ■ These fragments falling on the sun caused the disturbances to its surface. . »
