LAWN TENNIS.

CAMBRIDGE CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN* CORRESPONDENT.] Cambridge, Thursday. The annual meeting of the Cambridge Tennis Club was held in the Farmers' Clubroom on Wednesday evening, the Rev. Mortimer Jones occupying the chair. The report stated that the season had been a fairly successful ono. although _ the moving of the courts had had a deleterious effect upon the members, the number having been reduced from 58 to 86. This was owing to the new courts being so far away, and to the fact that they were not in such good order as tho old ones. The want of a pavilion is much felt. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £4 4a 2d, but there is a liability of £5 due to the Domain Board for the upkeep of the courts. The following officers were elected: President. Rev. C. Mortimer Jones; vice-president Messrs. E. B. Cox and D. H. Marshall; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. K. R. Court; committee, Mrs. McCarthy, Migs Cox, and Messrs. E. Fraser, J. Simm, and J. H. Hurathouso. Tho subscriptions were fixed at the same rates as last year, viz., gentlemen 255, ladies 10s 6d, visitors 8s per week or 10s per month. The usual votes of thanks to the outgoing officers and to the ladies for providing afternoon tea were passed.
