HUDSON RIVER MYSTERY.
FATE OP A YOUNG LADY.
London, September 14.
A case presenting similar features to the notorious Crippen case has developed in New York, with the discovery of the dismembered body of a woman in the Hudson River.
The torso was found first, afterwards the head, and then other remains, by which the woman was identified as Annette Day, aged 23, a machine operator employed in a women's garment factory. The deceased was engaged to a young surgeon, who was, however, married some time ago and who recently disappeared.
The police assert that the dismemberment of the body was undoubtedly done by someone accustomed to surgical work.
