VOICE FROM THE GRAVE

STORIES OF MR. STEAD.

QUARREL WITH MR. RHODES.

REMARKABLE BIOGRAPHY.

By Telegraph-

(Received September 4, 10.30 p.m.) London, September 4. A life of Mr. W. T. Stead has just been published by Miss Estelle Stead. The book contains some remarkable stories.

The writer declares that her father was to have had the disposal of Mr. Cecil Rhodes's fortune on lines Mr. Rhodes laid down, but as Mr. Stead violently opposed Mr. Rhodes' war policy in South Africa, Mr. Rhodes appointed other trustees.

The author relates that three weeks after the loss of the Titanic, in which the great . journalist perished, Mr. Stead appeared in "Julia's Bureau" and assured his audience: "All I have told you is true."
