POLITICAL REFORM LEAGUE.
BRANCH AMONG THE NATIVES. [BY TELEGBAJE'H. —OWN COBBESPONDBNT.] Rotqkua, Tuesday. A meeting of chiefs of the Tu Hourangis was held at Whakarewarewa last night, when the Reform Government organiser (Mr. C. P. Lindegreen) addressed the gathering. Meta Tau Popoki presided over the meeting, which was largely attended. The organiser briefly explained the objects of tho Reform Lea,gue, and after several questions had been asked and answered, it was decided to form a branch of the New Zealand Political, Reform League at Whakarewarewa. Several native speakers expressed approval of the decision arrived at, and confidence in the Hon. W. F. Massey and his colleagues, pointing out that they believed Mr. Massey would act fairly to the native race, and in the best interests of the whole of the people of this Dominion.
The organiser was requested to convoy greetings to Mr. Massey and his supporters in the House, and the tribe's loyalty to the Reform Party. The whole of the tribe is to be called together at an early date to appoint ' officers for the newly-formed branch.
