FORTUNES FOR PRINCESSES.
KING LEOPOLD'S DAUGHTERS SHARE . £1,500,000. A Brussels paper says it has reason to believe that, m compliance with tho wish intimated by the President of » the■■; Court of Appeal in. favour of an understanding being arrived at- between the Belgian Government and the daughters of the late King Leopold on tho question of the succession to the Royal estate, the Government has agreed to allow the three princesses to divide £1,600,000 between them. In his-will King Leopold disposed of a large part of his fortune, estimated at £2,000,000, by making it over to a concern known, as the " Foundation of "Niederfullbach," and this arc/used a storm of " s protest. Princess Louise began an action against the Belgian State' for the recovery of this money, on behalf of her sisters and herself. She , lost her case in the . lower courts, and appealed a year ago, with the above result. The late King bequeathed to his daughters only £600,000, which he had inherited from his father, Leopold I.
