By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright London, December 11. The debate on the Home Rule Bill was continued in the House of Commons to-day.
Sir Rufus Isaacs (Attorney-Gene-ral) moved to omit the clause fixing the meeting of the first Parliament for September, 1913, and to substitute that it. shall meet eight months after the Royal assent is given, with a reservation empowering the Government to fix the date seven months earlier or later. This was carried.
The Government agreed to concede the right of voluntary retirement on pension to those members of the Irish Constabulary who are unwilling to serve under the Irish Government.
