WAR CORRESPONDENT'S CAPTIVITY.
BRUTAL TREATMENT BY
BULGARIANS.
London, December 11. Mr. Angus Hamilton (a newspaper correspondent), who was recently captured by the Bulgarians, has returned to London. He tells an extraordinary story of his treatment after his capture.
The Bulgarians refused to believe shat Mr. Hamilton was a correspondent, and bound him with ropes. He was left without food for hours.
Officers strapped him down, and spent an hour examining his body for marks to prove that he was a Turkish officer.
Finally the Bulgarians whipped a boy across the face and compelled him to identify Mr. Hamilton as a Turk. Several days elapsed before the proofs of his identity were accepted.
