The House of Commons wag crowded to-day, when Mr. Asquith's motions limiting the length of the debate on the Home Rule Bill were discussed. The speeches, especially those of Messrs. Bonar Law (Leader of the Unionist party), and Lloyd-George (Chancellor of the Exchequer) were of an acrimonious character. An amendment to the effect that the debate on a Bill of such importance should not be restricted was moved by Mr. Bonar Law. It wagdefeated by 323 votes to 232.
