SCIENTIFIC LECTURE

The first week's series of illustrated scientific lectures, arranged by Mr. Clement, L. Wragge, concluded on Saturday evening at the Chamber of Commerce, when Mr. Gilbert Raw-son lectured upon "Wicrd Monsters of tho Past." A -special feature of the lecture was tho very beautiful series of lantern slides by which it, was illustrated, the various geological formations in which remains are found being shown and explained, and. numerous excellent illustrations of the entire subject matter being displayed.
