FALSE PRETENCES.
YOUNG MAN SENTENCED.
[BT. TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT. ] Hamilton, Thursday. A Tor.vG man named Henry Ray Vercoe, charged with false pretences,, by obtaining the sum of £3 by means of a valueless cheque, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment at the Hamilton Court to-day. This sentence is to be cumulative with a sentence of two months' which he is at present serving for the same offence at Tatiranga.
