THE Council of the Rugby Union has sidered a letter from the English Union, stating that the South African Union has accepted an invitation to send a- team to Great Britain during the season 1912-13, as the guests of English, Scotch, Welsh, * and Irish Unions, and asking, if a date » could be arranged, whether a combined ■ Australia and Kew Zealand team could * be''sent, ' * The Council decided fa reply that whilst * not agreeing to the combination as a ' settled policy of the union for future tours, it is agreeable in the interests of the game to join Queensland and New Zealand ; in sending a team, though there would be difficulties in regard to the selection and gathering of the team.
