FARMERS TERRIBLE END.
DECAPITATED BY A TRAIN.
[by-- TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dannevirke, Sunday. A shocking railway fatality occurred hero on Saturday night. It appears that a train had drawn into the station safely, and was being shunted when tho enginedtiver felt a jolt. Investigations wereatonco made, when it was found that a farmer named Sven Anderson, of Ormondville, had been decapitated by the engine-wheels. The body of tho deceased was found between the metals and the platform, the head lying about seven paces away. ,
WHARF LABOURER KILLED.
MEAT FALLS FROM THE SLINGS. [BY telegraph.—-tress association.] Gisbornb, Sunday. A labourer named Wm. Burton, aged 26 years, while assisting to load frozen meat from a lighter to the Marero yesterday, received) fatal injuries through a quarter of beef slipping out of the slings and falling on him. He was conveyed to the hospital, where he died last night.
