Ebb Australian cricket team resumed its match against Oxford University yesterday. In their first innings the Australians made 236 runs. Oxford had five wickets down for 45 runs. The weather was bright but cold, and the wicket was soft. Whitty and Hazlitt were entrusted with the attack, and they disposed of the remaining five wickets for 26 runs, Hazlitt taking three for 14 and Whitty two for Twining made four, and then failed to negotiate a breakback from Whitty, and was bowled. Hazlitt clean bowled Crutchley for a single, and in his next over he got Naumann's wicket, Gregory taking an easy catch at point. ■ _*. The Gaekwar of Baroda scored 17, and then, trying a big pull off Hazlitt, was well caught on the boundary by Bardsley. He survived two appeals for leg before wicket. Kaye was bowled. by the next ball, and the last three wickets failed to add a single run. The innings lasted for 110 minutes, and closed for 71. Oxford followed on. After the wicket had been rolled it played better. . Hazlitt, Whitty, and Minnett were tried before the luncheon adjournment, when the score was 57 for no wickets. Macartney and Whitty bowled after lunch. , Knott was playing excellent cricket, and Twining was in good form. He was caught by Hazlitt at point, off Whitty. The century took 100 minutes. The Gaekwar of Baroda made 12, and was then caught in the slips by Hazlitt, off Kelleway. He hit one six. The bowling was skilful. Carkeek was hit on the head by a ball, and Jennings kept wickets after tea. The arrears were wiped _ out in 190 minutes. :-•:.'...: Crutchley made 35 by bn-drivtog in ft lucky innings. The others showed poor form. Naumann went out first ball. .WORCESTER EASILY BEATEN. , BOWLERS AT WORK. (Received May 26. 5.5 p.m.) London - , May 25. The match between the South Africans and Worcestershire, postponed from yesterday owing to rain, was commenced today in bright sunshine, but on a bowlers' wicket.

The county team batted first and were all dismissed for 50, Pegler taking seven wickets for 31 runs. The South Africans scored 277 for five wickets before stumps were drawn for the day. When the innings was resumed this morning, the weather was fine. SimpsonHayward's bowling routed the remaining batsmen, and the South Africans' innings closed for 298 runs. In the second innings, Worcester scored 206. The South Africans thus won by an innings and 42 runs. Following are the scores 1 :—
