PRIZE RING METHODS IN POLITICS. By Telegraph.— Association.— Copyright. London, May 24. Lord Selborne, speaking at Bradford, described Mr. Lloyd-George's references to the Duke of Devonshire as the introduction into public and political life of the foulest measures of the illegitimate prize ring. It was impossible to hold a. man responsible for the acts of his ancestors 400 years ago. THE ATTACK ON THE DUKE. In bis speech on the Welsh Disestablishment Bill, Mr. Lloyd-George made a stronsr attack on the Duke of Devonshire. The. Such an accusation should not be made by those whose family tree was laden with the fruits of sacrilege. At the time of the Reformation the Catholic churches, monasteries almhouses, the poor, and even the dead, were robbed. Now, he added, when the Welsh people were seeking to recover part of the pillaged property for the poor, those, who were dripping with the fat of sacrilege ventured to accuse the Govern- ! meat of robbing God.
