MANY IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

[BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchttrch, Wednesday. There was a brief discussion at the Education Board meeting this morning concerning mental defectives. The statements made indicated that thero were a number of defectives in the public schools, as well as many outside, who were not taught in any way. The Board agreed to instruct the Appointments Committee to investigate the position.
