NORFOLK ISLAND LINE TO AUCKLAND. "
Br Telegraph.— Press Association.— London, February 28. The Pacific Cable Board accepted the India-rubber- and Guttapercha Telegraph Works • Company's tender to construct and lay the new cable from the neighbourhood -of Sydney, probably Bondi, :to a handy place near Auckland. also to bring the Norfolk Island cable to Auckland, instead :of Doubtless Bay. . , It is expected that both. the new line arid the taking of the Norfolk line to Auckland will be completed about next Christmas.
