The Waihi Gold Mining Company's 75th dividend of 2s per sharo for tho quarter will be distributed to-day. This will absorb £49,590 14s, and will bring the total dividends and bonuses paid by the company to £4,383,843 15s Bd. There are 2227 shareholders on the colonial register of tho company holding 149,992 shares, and they will receive £14,999 4s. RETURN "OF £600.', The manager of the Old Hauraki mine (Coromand-el), telegraphed yesterday as follows:—"Crushed 45 tons of quartz and 1401b of picked stone for a return of 208oz 14dwt of metal gold." Tho approximate valuo of the return is £600. WAIHI EXTENDED. The manager of the Waihi Extended mine, reporting for last week, states that the east crosscut was advanced 25ft, a total of 190 ft from the shaft. The country is still favourable. The face on the northwest reef was advanced 4ft. The reef at present is broken and intermixed with country the full width of the face. No. 6 winze has been sunk 45ft below No. 5 level. Quartz is being carried down on the foot wall, with country on the hangingwall. This is apparently a horse of country, tho larger portion of the reef being in tho hangingwall of the winze. Burgess (warden) the following applications were , granted : -—Rising Sun, Gold Mining Company, permission to work Rising Sun special claim with seven men for six months; Golden Cross Gold Mining Company, permission to work Golden Cross special claim with four men for six months, and Crcesus special claim with two men for six months. Tlie following applications were recommended .to the Minister Robert Lowrio, Golden Stream special claim, of 100 acres, at Maratoto; Henry Sheehan', protection for six months for Maratoto Consolidated, and Walker's Maratoto special claim, at Marototo; Rising Sun Gold Mining Company, protection for six months for Rising Sun Extended special claim, at Owharoa.
