THE LENTEN SERVICES.

During the luncheon hour yesterday _• Lenten services to business men and others were continued at the Chamber of Commercti rooms, when the Rev. P. T. Williams, warden of St. John's College, dealt further with the subject, " The Sanctity of the Body." He spoke on "Temptation," and gave earnest advice regarding schoolboys and young men entering updtt business careers. The preacher touched upon the question of prohibition. There were many, he said, who would wish to see prohibition carried in New Zealand. Personally, however, he felt that it was not God's way of working. God had placed man in the midst of temptations, which were indirectly meant for man's improvement. To do away with all forms of temptation was, he felt, going against God a plan in this world. To-day Mr. Williams will deal with " The Temple of the Holy Ghost."
