Farrell, formerly manager lor George Gray, and Master Clark McConacby. a 16-year-old boy, from Timaru. 1 be came was 750 "V Farrell receiving 300. Oil his first visit to the table the youth pro- j duced 146. relying entirely on losing: hazard, and playing the stroke with surprising accuracy, and fine "strength." Amongst other contributions weer breaks of 80, 66 and 59, his average being slightly over 12 for each cue. Talking into consideration the youth of the player, the performance was a good one and comparisons were drawn between McConaehy playing and that of George Gray at the same age. It is understood that on the table on which McConachy is accustomed to playing at, Timaru ho has been able to compile breaks of 700 odd The game resulted in a win for the boy by 73 points. The loser's best breaks were 46 and 42, and several over 20.
