MIXED MARRIAGES.

NE TEMERE AND CIVIL CODE. QUEBEC COURT'S JUDGMENT. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright Montreal, February 22. Judgment was given yesterday by Mr. Justice Charbonneau, in the Quebec province, in the case of the Heberts, who were * married by a Methodist minister. The husband sought a nullity of the marriage under the Ne Temere decree.

His Honor decided that the marriage was valid, maintaining that any officer authorised to solemnise marriage, can marry any two persons who observe the necessary formalities, no matter what their religion. The Ne Temere decree, His Honor ruled, had no effect against the civic code.
