STOCKS AND SHARES.
BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. A brighter tone prevailed on the Stock Exchange yesterday. In mining lines Talismans saw business done at 53s 6d, there being more buyers at that price, , sellers quoting 545. Waihis were done at 44s 3d, with later sellers at 44s 6d, and buyers at ,445. Waihi Grand Junctions changed hands at 28s 9d, leaving further sellers at 295, and buyers at 28s od. In investment stocks Now Zealand Insurances were exchanged at 94s 9d, and more were available at 955, buyers offering 94s 3d.
