DEVELOPMENT OF CANADA
PROVINCIAL ACTIVITIES.
By Telegraph—Press Association.— Vancouver, February 21. The provincial Government of British Columbia (Premier, Mr. R. McBride, K.C.) is planning an extensive railway scheme to develop the northern interior of the province, where vast mineral and agricultural resources only await transportation facilities.
The Alberta provincial Government has also decided to open, the hinterland of Alberta, where millions of acres of land are- available for settlement.
The, provincial election will be fought in British Columbia on Mr. Mcßride's railway policy.
