The Public Works Department has accepted the following tenders : —Supply of bridge material for the Kaihu Valley railway, Andersons, Limited (Christchurch), £1773 4s; extension of public buildings, Hokitika, John Drake (Greymouth), £5016 13s sd; erection of Okakuno Courthouse, T. Aldridge (Ohakune), £667 8s 6d; big Wanganui Road bridge, formation of south approach, Haddock and Move (Ross), £989; erection of Marina River bridge, 8. and K. Atkinsons (Westport), £2061 8a 6d; Lawrence-Roxburgh railway, No. 3 formation, G. W. Ryan (Waitahuna), £1118 18s 4d.
