AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION.

MEETING OF DELEGATES.

A meeting of delegates to the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was held in trie Sports Club yesterday. Mr. A. A. Martin ore sided* A communication was read from the Hawke's Bav Association, inviting the Auckland Association to co-operate in opposing Mr. Hurley's motion, limiting the places for holding the New Zealand championship meeting to only the four largest centres. After a long discussion it was decided to instruct the Auckland delegate to vote against Mr. Hurley's motion, as the meeting was of opinion that there are other suitable nlaces to hold a New Zealand chamnionsliip tournament besides the four large centres. . It was also decided to instruct the association's delegate to move in the direction of getting a bye-law passed, making it necessary for any ' association applying for the championship fixture to give a guarantee indemnifying the New Zealand Association from any possible loss over such tournament. Messrs. W. A. Brown, E. Hickson, and C F. Quinnell were appointed a committee to select the interprovincial team for the forthcoming tournament. INTER-CLUB MATCHES. TO BE RESUMED TO-MORROW. The Auckland. Lawn Tennis Association's interclub matches, postponed last Saturday on account of the wet weather,' will be resumed to-morrow.
