BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

Thk volume of business transacted on the Stock Exchange yesterday was not very large, although the market was steady. In mining lines Wftihis were disposed of at 42s 6d,. more being inquired for at that figure, sellers holding for 435. Waihi Grand Junctions realised 265, leaving further buyers at that price and sellers at 26a 3d. There was a slight improvement in Talismans, sales being made at 625. At this' price more were available, with buyers offering 51s 9d. In investment stocks, Auckland Gas (old) changed hands at 675, later buyers offering 665, sellers quoting 67s 6d. Taupiri Coals were done at 21s 6d; Northern Coals (10s paid), at 10s 9dj and Wilsons Portland Cements (ord), at 39s 3d. " ' ,
