Ax a meeting of the National Council of tho New Zealand Labour Party to-night, the following X resolution was passed " That the National Council of the New Zealand Labour Party "views'" with deep regret the action of Auckland members of the party in. congratulating the Reactionary party; of the Dominion on their success aj. tho recent poll, and takes this first opportunity of declaring that whatever opinions may have been expressed by the members concerned they were purely their, own private views of the matter, and in no way represented the; attitude of the New Zealand labour party towards either Liberal or. Conservative -•:" parties. This executive, furthermore, repudiates the action of any branch of the party in officially eupporting tho candidature of any person other than a pledged Labour man, or in election contests where no Labour man is standing taking any official part therein."
