BUSINESS NOW ACTIVE. MORE PROMINENT DISPLAYS. '.-.■•■■'•-( Christmas shopping, hitherto somewhat retarded by the intervention of other influences, has now set in, and the shopkeepers and tradesmen of the city and suburbs are experiencing a particularly busy time. Auckland invariably harbours a large floating population at this festivo season of the year, and the Yuletide of 1911 gives every promise of seeing moro than the customary crowds thronging the streets, and incidentally the shops.
