The Scottish Committee of the Medical Association has recommended members not to accept service under the National Insurance Act unless the British Medical Association's demands are conceded. FRIENDLY SOCIETY APPROVAL NOT SO VERY BAD AFTER ALL. London, December 17. The chairman of the National Deposit Society, while preferring to be left unfettered, said the National Insurance Act was as good as could be expected under the circumstances. The Grand Master of the ■ Manchester Unity of Oddfellows says that if the society becomes an approved society under the national insurance scheme, he believes the result will be a prosperous future.
