AN ITALIAN BAYONET CHARGE
ASSASSINATION CAMPAIGN. Rome, December 3. The Italians in Tripoli drove off a large force of Turks and Arabs with the bayonet. The artillery shelled the fugitives, and it is believed that the Turkish losses were heavy. . ' The Italians had eight killed and 17 wounded. Tripoli, December 3. It is alleged that an emissary_ of the Young Turks stabbed M. Jean Carrer, correspondent of Le Temps, supposing him to be an Italian. It was recently reported that the Young Turks had ordered the assassination of individual Italians.
