MACARTNEY IS OUT OF FORM. (Received December 4, 9.20 p.m.) Stdney, December 4. In the inter-Stato cricket match, South Australia v. New South Wales, the latter's first innings closed for 316, the chief scorers being : Trumper, 47; Bardsley, 58; Waddy (not out), 78; and Cotter, 82. . Cotter gave a remarkablo display of slogging. Ho hit four sixes, and six fours, scored 80 runs in 40 minutes, and with Waddy scored a century in 37 minutes.. Macartney, who scored only two runs, is showing poor . form. The wicket-takers were : Whitty, two wickets for 94 runs ; Crawford, one for 69; Wright, three for 40; Rees, four for 94. The South Australians in their first innings have loet five wickets for 164, the chief scorers being : Hill, 59; Dolling, 28; Chamberlain (not out), 26; and May no, 21.
