[BY TELEGBAPH.—OWK CORREBPOSDMT.] v / •,. Thahbs, Sunday. A match for the Go}dflelds challenge stars was played on the Thames green on Saturday between the Thames team and Walkino. It resulted in a win for Thames by 21 polutd to 17. The game was played under unfavourable conditions, rain setI ting in shortly after play commenced and continuing throughout the game. The Thames team consisted of A. Billing. 3. Hague-Smith, B. Pranklin, and W. S. Clark (skip), and the Waikino rink of Jolly, Field, Armstrong, and Polkington (skip). The Thames team were the holders and Waikino the challengers. DARGAVILLE OLUB. [BY TBLEOnAITI.— COBBBBPOHDKKT.] Dabgaviilb, Sunday. The TMivr bowling green at DargavlUe was opened yesterday afternoon. There was a Urge attendance of the public, including 16 represenI tatives of the Bemuera and Mount Eden Clubs and 10 from Wliangarei. Mr. G. N. Hayes welcomed the visitors, and the green was declared open by tlie Mayoress (Mrs. F. J. Bargaville). Mr. Stone, of Wliongarei, replied on behalf of the visitors. Afternoon tea and liberal refreshments were dispensed. Some fine play eventuated, and close scoring took place in the match Remuera v. Whangarei. Unfortunately, rain set in at four o'clock and caused a cessation of the proceedings. The Auckland visitors left this afternoon for i Helcnsville. .' . , ,
