The General Federation of Trade Unions has strongly protested against the separate administrations of the insurance fund for Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. Labour leaders fear disintegration of trade unionism by encouraging the Scottish and Welsh committees to insist on controlling their own business. ; . ; Medical men declare that Mr. Lloyd-George's proffered amendments are utterly inadequate. PROTEST FROM HOSPITALS. WILL UPSET TREATMENT. (Received December 3, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 2. , A conference, representing 200 hospitals, carried a resolution to the effect that the existing system of treatment cannot be maintained if the income available is diminished under tho provisions of the National Insurance Bill. Sir Henry Burdett estimates that the voluntary hospitals will lose half their incomes. HOW THE LORDS WILL ACT. (Received December 3, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 2.
