London, December 1., The Council of-the Railway Companies accepted to-day the invitation of the House of Commons, made on the proposal of the Right Hon. Sydney Buxton, President of the Board of Trade, to confer with the men. ' The invitation suggested, as a basis for the conference, that the findings of. the Commission should in principle be accepted by both* sides. The railway men's executives hav° also agreed to the - conference.
